Coverage Review

Start a Coverage Review

A coverage review is a professional second opinion on what you currently have. It does not require you to switch carriers — it just answers whether your coverage is actually doing what you think it is.

What a coverage review is — and is not

It is a structured conversation about your current insurance: limits, deductibles, exclusions, life changes, and gaps between what you think is covered and what a claim would actually pay.

It is not a sales pitch. Sometimes the review confirms that what you have is appropriate. Sometimes it surfaces one or two improvements worth considering. Either way, you leave with a clearer picture.

Tell us about your situation. We will take it from there.

This short review request avoids quote-only friction fields. We will ask for detailed underwriting information only if it is needed after the first conversation.

No pressure. No obligation. Just a clearer picture.

How it works

Four steps, one clearer decision.

Step 1

Tell us your situation

Complete the short form and share what changed or what you want reviewed.

Step 2

We review your coverage

We compare what you have against your situation and available carrier options.

Step 3

You get a clear picture

We explain what is working, what is not, and which options may fit better.

Step 4

You decide

If a change makes sense, we help. If staying put makes sense, we tell you that too.

Questions

Coverage review FAQ

Is a coverage review really free?

Yes. There is no charge for a coverage review and no obligation to make any changes to your current coverage. We review your situation, share what we find, and you decide what to do with that information.

Do I have to switch carriers to get a coverage review?

No. A coverage review is an independent assessment of what you have. We may find that your current coverage is appropriate. If we find options that are better for your situation, we will show you the comparison and you decide.

How long does a coverage review take?

For personal lines such as home and auto, we can usually complete a review and follow up within one to two business days. For commercial coverage, timing depends on the complexity of the business and the documents carriers need to review.

What do I need to bring to a coverage review?

Nothing is required to start. If you have current policy documents or declarations pages available, sharing them through Canopy Connect helps us make the review more specific.

Can I get a coverage review for my business?

Yes. Commercial coverage reviews are especially useful before renewal because they compare your current coverage against your actual operations and the carrier market available for that risk.

What is the difference between a coverage review and getting a quote?

A quote gives you a price for a new policy. A coverage review looks at what you currently have and whether it is serving you well before price is the focus.

The best time to review your coverage is before you need it.

The best time to review your coverage is before you need it — before renewal creates a deadline, before a claim reveals a gap, and before a life change leaves a coverage need unaddressed. A fifteen-minute conversation now is worth more than a claim conversation later.
